An organization’s culture is determined by the way employees interact and communicate with each other. How people communicate will either empower or hinder your organization’s success. Unfortunately, the worst behaviors tolerated within an organization, become culture norms. Creating a culture of respect requires clarity around behavioral expectations and holding people accountable when conduct does not meet expectations. Posting values on the company wall or crafting policies is not enough and fails to create buy-in.
